Malcolm Hayes has spent 22 years in education, 15 as a Headteacher, two of which were on a seconded placement within Kent’s Primary Excellence Team. This work has directly involved him in taking existing teams’ strengths, weaknesses and aspirations in working on projects to move the school community forward. Much of his work has been around supporting middle management in developing a Knowledge Creation Model, linking self-evaluation, learning processes and leading innovation. His most recent research area has been within the concept of successful intelligence based around the work of Harvard University. This learning background means m:power offers an opportunity for participants to form links between their own learning and the aspirations of the company, leading to greater emotional engagement in the workplace. In developing an understanding of the learning outcomes of each organisation and empowering management teams through motivation and inspiration, Malcolm uses his background and understanding of how to learn in a way that leads to lasting outcomes for our client partners.

Paula Veysey-Smith has extensive experience in management teams, having begun her career in a multi-national corporation before choosing to use her gained experience to help non-profit making organisations. Previous to establishing m:power consulting she was a director of a world-wide logistics company. Paula not only used her experience and knowledge to achieve significant growth of the company but at the same time widened her own perspectives of managing and nurturing learning teams. With her ability to take the creative and effectively implement this into a sustainable business strategy, Paula’s expertise and clear thinking provides the necessary platform for m:power to not only unlock the potential of any team but also inspire and motivate the individual.
